Recruitment and Diversity at DESY

READY - that's Recruitment and Diversity at Desy.

And it also means: a shared understanding of diversity and inclusion, counteracting discrimination, attracting and retaining bright minds/diverse people, strengthening participation and a sense of belonging and developing one's own potential at DESY.

We work closely with many people in various sub-projects to achieve these goals - and we want you to be part of it too.

Franziska Westerfeld, M.Sc. Psychologie, has been the coordinator of the project since November 2023. She became deaf in her early 20s and knows from her own experience that it is not just a matter of how much you want to work on something yourself, raise awareness and break down "barriers in people's minds". Barriers must be broken down in real terms and people must actually be given the chance to show their potential.
