At DESY we create the opportunity for interdisciplinary development. We offer specific training and continuing education programs, that are open to colleagues from all disciplines. We take individual development goals  into account when designing our trainings and workshops. For specific expertise we have the option to use external training courses in consultation with supervisors.

All our main training courses  are given in German and English, and take place both in Hamburg and  Zeuthen. This way, the courses enhances  networking between colleagues from different departments and locations. One focus is on the development and strengthening of personal, social-communicative and methodological skills. In addition, we organize language courses at different levels (German as a foreign language) for our international colleagues.

The HR development unit provides advice, e.g. on the organization of team development measures or in the search for training, coaching or mediation with external providers. In the development, planning and implementation of offers, we cooperate with colleagues from other specialist  groups such as the Occupational Health Services.
